In 2013, Australian New York City resident Yael Stone played inmate "Lorna Morello" as part of Orange Is the New Black. Yael holds a master's qualification from NIDA. Her early work experience has enabled her to work with some of Australia's best storytellers. Yael is well-known as an actor throughout Australia. A continuing collaboration with Australia's much-lauded director Neil Armfield culminated in the internationally-renowned production Diary of a Madman, in which she starred opposite Academy- Emmy- and Tony Award-winning actor Geoffrey Rush. Yael moved into New York City after the Brooklyn Academy of Music's production of the play had a huge achievement. Yael has been a co-founder of The Cannery. Working from a studio at Bushwick, Brooklyn, the business supports the development of new writing as well as imaginative, inventive ventures.
